Our promise
Suede is a paid service precisely so that you are the customer, not the product. We do not show ads, we do not sell data, and we do not build advertising profiles.
What we don't do
- We do not log your search queries against your identity.
- We do not track you across the web.
- We do not sell or share personal data with advertisers.
What we keep
We retain the minimum needed to run a subscription service: your account email, billing status (handled by our payment processor, Stripe), and security/audit events needed to protect your account. Aggregate, non-identifying usage counts may be used for capacity and billing of the API.
One site, one account
Suede is served from a single domain, suede.io, backed by infrastructure in more than one region, with one account system behind it — operated by our own sign-in service at id.suede.io. Your session applies across the whole domain: sign in once and you are signed in everywhere Suede runs, and signing out ends your session everywhere. This happens entirely within Suede — only first-party cookies on our own domain are set, and no third-party service is involved.

Suede surfaces results from multiple independent and third-party search sources. Suede is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any search engine whose results may be surfaced. Results are labeled by source where applicable.
